Since Flagg decided to reclass into the 2025 draft, he has been labelled the #1 for this draft class. Now that we have been able to see a bit from him in training camp, he has proven to live up to these expectations and is even still impressing scouts with his potential to do things scouts once thought weren’t a part of his game.
Bailey is a very intriguing prospect and has fans and many scouts who are very interested in his game, development, and overall potential. He has consistently been considered if not a top 3 then a top 5 pick. If Bailey can show improvement in his decision-making, shot selection and flashes of a more consistent 3 point shot, he should prove the top 3 hype to be true and be a very strong contender to be the second overall pick.
Opinions of Harper seem to be fairly split with fans loving his game pushing for him to be a lock for a top 3 pick while some scouts are skeptical if he is a fit for the NBA. Harper will look to put this skepticism to rest and if he can prove to be a top end playmaker while showing strong and consistent flashes and improvement on attacking the rim and his outside shooting, he should still be in contention to be a top 3 pick come draft day.
Edgecombe is an arguably the most athletic player in this class and it really shows through his game. He is also the best defender in the class averaging 2 steals and 0.5 block a game. He is still a work in progress on offense but has a developing game. His three point shot has progressed well throughout the season and he is becoming more patient and strategic with his attacking the rim instead of being out of control like how he started the season.
Johnson is a score first shooting guard who isn't afraid to take any type of shot and will do so without any hesitation. He can score from all three levels and should be looked at and considered as a first option scorer once he gets accustomed to the speed of the NBA. Johnson has some sneaky playmaking ability that doesn't always show in the box score but this is still an area of improvement for him. He is also a work in progress on the defensive end but he can hold his own against certain types of guards.
