Current Draft Top 5

Darryn Peterson

Darryn Peterson

Darryn Peterson

Peterson has been building a strong argument to be considered the most skilled and complete guard prospect in recent memory. Peterson has refined his creation and shot making ability to a incredibly high level for his age. He is also able to play as a primary playmaker and secondary scorer when it is needed without throwing off the flow of his game as a whole. Peterson is also a good defender showing off lateral quickness and a knack for timing steals and blocks. Peterson does not have overwhelming athleticism, but he does have good athletic traits that he uses extremely well to his advantage keeping defenders off balance and having to guess his next move.

AJ Dybantsa

Darryn Peterson

Darryn Peterson

Dybantsa for the most part has been considered the #1 pick and the best player in the class throughout the entire HS senior season. Dybantsa has special athletic traits and shot making skills as a 6'9 wing. He has strong body control and can generate his offense anywhere on the court and he excels as a primary ball handling scorer taking over games. Dybantsa is confident in his dribble pull up and attacking closeouts and help defense mixing in floaters around the paint. Dybantsa has the measurements and skill to be a mismatch for defenders. The only concerns he holds as a player is his decision making and how consistent he can be as a defender.

Cameron Boozer

Cameron Boozer

Cameron Boozer, son of Carlos Boozer, separated himself at a young age for his skill, feel and maturity as a basketball player. He already has a pro ready frame at 6'9 250 and he utilized his strength to build a polished inside game with efficient scoring. Being the son of a former NBA player, Cameron has very advanced footwork for his age as well as strong fundamentals which led him to build one of the most decorated HS resumes. His perimeter shooting is a growing part of his game and he does not have the most vertical ability but with everything else he does well, this should not hold him back at being a top prospect in the class.

Mikel Brown Jr

Mikel Brown Jr

Cameron Boozer

Brown stock has been on the rise since he strong performance being the lead guard for the USA U19 World Cup team which was loaded of talent. Brown led the team well having 43 assists to 15 turnovers which also did not take away from his scoring versatility. He shoots the ball well with sneaky athleticism when attacking downhill. Scouts will be watching closely since he has a thin frame, but if he continues playing how he did during the World Cup he will be deserving of a top 5 pick in a loaded class.

Nate Ament

Mikel Brown Jr

Nate Ament

Ament shows guard skills in a wing body impressing scouts with a tight ball handling skills and strong shotmaking skills. He does have a thin frame for his size and he still has questionable decision making at times, but his shooting versatility, guard like creativity and ability to handle the ball in the open floor brings scouts back on board with projecting Ament as a future lottery pick and picturing the potential upside a player like Ament could have.
